Jonathan Babyak

Jonathan Babyak, a 2001 Drew University graduate, grew up in New Jersey but has since adopted Massachusetts. Following a brief diversion in chemistry at UMass, Jonathan rediscovered his interest in medicine and combined this with is love of dogs graduating from Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine in 2009. Follow this, Jonathan completed a rotating internship in Connecticut and a residency in emergency and critical care at Tufts in 2014. Following residency, Jonathan completed a research fellowship in One Health and accepted a faculty appointment at Tufts before joining the ICU team at Westford Veterinary Emergency & Referral Center.
Jonathan and the ICU veterinary team provide exceptional hospital care to patients requiring a variety of inpatient services. In addition to routine and advanced monitoring, the ICU team is skilled at blood gas interpretation, treatment of severe infections and shock, stabilizing traumatized pets, respiratory diseases and failure, treatment of organ dysfunction including heart, central nervous system, coagulation, gastrointestinal, liver and kidney diseases.
