Board-certified Emergency & Critical Care Specialists
When a beloved pet’s illness requires being admitted to the hospital for around-the-clock care, our board certified Emergency and Critical Care Specialists provide expertise and treatment. Our critical care specialists (often referred to as criticalists), have completed an immersive 4-year Emergency/Critical Care residency following their initial 4-years of veterinary school. After completing their residency, each passed a grueling examination to become Diplomates of the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care (ACVECC).
Experienced in the treatment of everything from acute trauma, to severe multi-organ failure, to unexpected surgical emergencies, our criticalists and their team of highly trained, experienced, technicians are comfortable taking on the most challenging of cases. Oxygen therapy, blood transfusion medicine, and intravenous (IV) fluid therapy are just a few of the therapies they perform regularly.
Some of the equipment found in our ICU includes:
- Complete clinical pathology laboratory
- Blood-gas and Biochemistry Analyzers
- Safe, High Speed Digital X-ray Machine
