Maura Carney

Dr. Carney was born and raised in Arlington, MA and attended Tufts University. She worked as an ICU nurse for three years at Angell Memorial Animal Hospital in Boston before attending veterinary school at St. George’s University in Grenada. She completed her clinical year at Kansas State University and then post graduation completed a small animal rotating internship at Fifth Avenue Veterinary Specialists in New York City. She completed a three year small animal medicine residency at the University of Minnesota in 2010. She spent a few years working in private specialty practice in Western Massachusetts before coming back to the Boston area.
Dr. Carney has a special interest in immune mediated disease and abdominal ultrasound, and is skilled in endoscopic procedures. Outside the hospital, she enjoys bad reality TV, good non-fiction books, and spending time with family.
