Karolina Preisner

DVM

Dr. Preisner received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University in 2013. After vet school, she completed an additional year of rigorous training during an internship at a small animal veterinary specialty hospital in Loveland, Colorado. After completing her internship, Dr. Preisner moved to Salem, Oregon where she practiced for one year prior to moving to Las Vegas. Dr. Preisner practiced in Las Vegas for two years prior to moving back to the East Coast to be closer to her family.

Dr. Preisner was born in Poland, but grew up primarily in New York. She received her undergraduate degree at Boston University, earning a Bachelor of Arts, with Specialization in Marine Science. She graduated with honors (Cum Laude), having completed an independent research study that was performed at the New England Aquarium. Dr. Preisner’s undergraduate education afforded her the opportunity to study abroad in Ecuador, where she had the opportunity to live and study in the Amazon Rainforest at the Tiputini Biodiversity Research Station.

Dr. Preisner is an outdoor enthusiast, who loves hiking with her Pitbull, Olivia. In her spare time, she also practices yoga, is an avid runner and enjoys quilting. Dr. Preisner’s furry family also includes two cats, Nugget and Mowgli.

Dr. Preisner’s primary veterinary interests include neurology, internal medicine, and soft tissue surgery. She is a staunch proponent of client education and strives to make sure that owners have all the information they need to make well-informed decisions about their pet’s care.
