Lauren Wilmarth
DVM, DACVIM (Neurology)
Appts: Wednesday - Saturday
Dr. Lauren Wilmarth grew up in Andover, Massachusetts with her family, including her twin sister and younger brother. She went to the University of Connecticut for undergraduate school, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science in just 3 years. While there she was also a member of both the Honors Program and the Division I Women's Tennis Team, which allowed her to enjoy traveling throughout the country to compete. Following undergraduate school, she obtained a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Cornell University in 2016 and then completed a 1-year rotating internship with a focus in neurology at the Animal Medical Center in New York City. She decided to continue her education and was accepted to stay at the Animal Medical Center as a resident in neurology and neurosurgery, where she completed a three-year residency. Dr. Wilmarth enjoys all aspects of veterinary neurology and is excited to bring her skills to Westford.
When Dr. Wilmarth is not at the hospital she enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and fiancé, who recently completed a residency in equine surgery in Florida. She has a cat named Mittens (Mitsy) and enjoys all dogs, but particularly Golden Retrievers. Dr. Wilmarth is frequently found exploring different coffee shops and staying active. She is particularly excited to restart sports, specifically tennis, and baking now that her residency is complete.
