Emergency Veterinary Technician
Veterinary Technician Allison B. joined our team part-time in September of 2020. She has 6 years experience working as a vet tech and has an educational background in Biology and Psychology from Bunker Hill Community College. Allison has a positive attitude and efficient work ethic, she is truly skilled in critical thinking and coming up with creative solutions to problems. Her job duties include working in the neurology department, doing blood draws, IVC placement, monitoring anesthesia, administering medications, carrying out patient treatments, and assisting with doctor procedures. Previously, Allison has also worked as an emergency overnight technician in Denver, and a dental technician for a mobile veterinarian throughout Colorado.
Allison has several pets of her very own including 2 dogs and 3 cats! Rokko is a 3.5-year-old Bernese Mountain Blue Heeler mix, Wiggles is a 4-year-old Rottweiler Beagle mix, and Allison also has three cats named Snowflake, Maxx, and Frosty. Allison loves helping people and aiding in their pet's treatment. She takes great pride in her work here at Medford Veterinary Emergency Referral Center! Allison is especially skilled at working with difficult cases and helping clients make decisions regarding their pet's care. The variety of cases that come in means that there is always an opportunity for her to learn something new! When not working, Allison enjoys hiking, snowboarding, working on cars, eating food, and rebuilding her car for the racetrack.
