Kendall

Emergency Veterinary Technician

Joining us in October of 2022, Kendall has been in the field since 2016, with experience as a veterinary assistant, animal shelter attendant, kennel technician, and emergency technician assistant. Her extensive experience allows her to help solve problems for pet owners, and she takes great satisfaction in watching patients improve throughout her shift. Because her own dog struggles with fear aggression, she has a personal passion for providing care to our “caution” patients.

As a veterinary technician, some of her duties include triage, discharges, estimates, vitals, diagnostics, procedures, sedation and monitoring, ensuring adequate patient care and comfort, filling and giving medications, maintaining treatment area cleanliness, and much more!

Kendall has a B.S. in Wildlife Biology from Texas State University and will be graduating from Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine in 2025. She received her Certified Veterinary Assistant license in 2017 from the Texas Veterinary Medical Association. She trained extensively as a veterinary assistant to become a veterinary technician in 2021.

Asked why she enjoys working with us, Kendall says, “I love how much of a family we are and I love that no matter how stressful a shift may get, we are always prioritizing and advocating for patient care. When I first started at Westford, I immediately felt welcomed and not like an outcast for any period of time. All of my coworkers have the same passion as I do: striving to make pets healthy and happy.”

Kendall has an eight-year-old American Bully named Koda and a five-year-old Domestic Shorthair tuxedo cat named Olive.

In her free time, she loves playing volleyball – she played all through high school and into undergrad and takes any opportunity to play today! She also loves the outdoors, particularly hiking and paddleboarding. On the weekends, you can find her dancing or attending shows with her friends; for stress relief, she enjoys coloring.
