Specialty Veterinary Technician
Katie is our full-time Veterinary Technician that started in August 2023 here at Westford Veterinary. She keeps the wheel turning by running appointments and sterilizing instruments, so things run smoothly. She is BLS/ALS Certified and Fear-Free Certified. Her interactions with all the animals are her favorite, especially the “spicy kitties” that end up being sweethearts! Katie loves to make everyone laugh and brighten the days of our team.
Currently, Katie is enrolled at San Juan College and working towards her Associate Degree in Veterinary Technology. She’s worked in the animal-related field for five years, starting at animal shelters like Lowell Humane Society before joining our team.
“I like how organized and well trained the surgery and anesthesia staff are,” Katie shares. “They are very helpful to new people. I also really like seeing and being involved in the surgeries.”
At home, Katie has several pets: Nyla, a 9-year-old Doxie-Poo; Bruin, a 4-year-old Boxer mix; Athena, a 6-year-old Dalmatian mix; Charlie, a 5-year-old domestic long-haired cat; and Boy, a 2-year-old domestic short-haired cat. In her free time, she continues to volunteer for Lowell Humane Society, and enjoys kayaking, camping, fishing, and video games.
