Specialty Veterinary Technician
Katie helps fill our clinic with laughter! As a veterinary technician, you can find her running appointments, scrub nursing, and sterilizing instruments. She loves interacting with our patients, especially the spicy kittens.
She has five years of experience in the field, starting at Lowell Humane Society and then GP before finding her home at Westford Veterinary Emergency Center. As of February 2024, she’s enrolled at San Juan College, studying for an associate degree in Veterinary Technology. She is BLS/ALS certified and Fear Free certified.
“I like how organized and well-trained the surgery and anesthesia staff are. They are very helpful to new people. I also really like seeing the seeing and being involved in the surgeries.”
Katie has a nine-year-old dog named Doxie-Poo, a four-year-old Boxer mix named Bruin, a six-year-old Dalmation mix named Athena, a five-year-old Domestic Longhair cat named Charlie, and a two-year-old Domestic Shorthair/Psycho cat named Boy.
In her free time, Katie enjoys volunteering for the Lowell Humane Society, kayaking, camping, fishing, and playing video games.
